1. Scope and who we are

DynaKat LLC is an Iowa limited liability company. In this policy, “DynaKat,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean DynaKat LLC. This policy principally describes how DynaKat handles personal information through DynaKat.co (the “Corporate Site”). It also applies to another DynaKat-operated website, page, or digital service only when that service expressly incorporates or links to this policy as its governing privacy notice. The Corporate Site and any service that does so are called the “Covered Services.”

DynaKat owns or supports distinct brands, properties, publications, platforms, and divisions. Those services may have features, audiences, vendors, or information practices that differ from DynaKat.co and may provide a separate or supplemental privacy notice. A supplemental notice controls for the processing it specifically addresses. A service is not covered merely because DynaKat owns it, links to it, displays its brand, or has a relationship with its operator.

Statements in this policy about the Corporate Site’s current configuration—including its measurement tools, absence of public accounts or checkout, and advertising settings—apply specifically to DynaKat.co as reviewed on the effective date above. A feature-specific notice should be read together with this policy where one is presented.

This policy is a notice of information practices; it is not a request for consent and does not limit any rights that cannot lawfully be limited. When consent is required, we will request it separately and in context.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with a Covered Service. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or can reasonably be linked to an individual or household. It does not include information that applicable law treats as public, aggregated, or deidentified.

Information you provide directly

• Contact and identity information. Your name, email address, telephone number, organization, role, or other contact details when you email us or communicate with us.
• Post email subscriptions. If you sign up for DynaKat post updates, WordPress.com processes your email address to send those updates and manage your subscription. You can unsubscribe using the link in a subscription email.
• Communications and inquiry content. Messages, questions, accessibility reports, privacy requests, security reports, press inquiries, project descriptions, timing, budgets, attachments, and other information you choose to provide.
• Business and professional information. Company affiliation, professional interests, proposal details, relationship history, and information needed to evaluate or administer a partnership, advertising inquiry, creative engagement, licensing discussion, or other business opportunity.
• Transaction and relationship records. If you enter a separate agreement with DynaKat, we may maintain contracts, statements of work, invoices, payment status, correspondence, and compliance records. The corporate website does not currently collect payment-card information or complete purchases.
• Interactive content. If comments, submissions, accounts, surveys, applications, or other interactive features are enabled, we may collect the profile, content, preference, and moderation information described at that feature. Those features may carry an additional notice.

Information collected automatically

• Device and network information. IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, language, and similar technical attributes.
• Activity and log information. Requested pages and files, referring and exit pages, dates and times, response codes, search terms submitted through the site, and security or diagnostic events. Search terms may appear in a requested URL and therefore in ordinary server or security logs.
• Cookie and local-storage information. Identifiers or preferences stored by WordPress, security tools, embedded content, or optional features, as explained in the next section.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from DynaKat properties and personnel, service providers, business partners, professional advisers, social networks when you interact with an official DynaKat account, referrals, and publicly available sources. We use this information for the purposes described in this policy and subject to any restrictions that apply to the source.

3. Cookies and similar technology

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, and software development kits. The Corporate Site uses or may use the following technologies to deliver, secure, and measure the service:

• Necessary and security technology. WordPress, hosting, content-delivery, caching, firewall, fraud-prevention, and security systems may use logs, identifiers, or cookies to deliver pages, balance traffic, maintain sessions, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
• WordPress.com and Jetpack Stats. The Corporate Site uses Automattic’s WordPress.com hosting services and Jetpack Stats to understand traffic and performance. Depending on the request and visitor, Automattic may receive an IP address, WordPress.com account identifier or username when logged in, user agent, browser or device information, browser language, country derived from IP, referring and requested URLs, search terms, outbound-link interactions, video plays, and event timestamps. DynaKat generally receives aggregate reports rather than a list identifying individual visitors. According to Automattic’s current Jetpack Stats documentation, logs containing identifying visitor data are retained by Automattic for 28 days, while aggregated statistics may be retained longer. Read the Jetpack Stats documentation.
• Administrative and optional-feature cookies. WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administrators. If comments or user accounts are enabled, WordPress or a related service may offer cookies that remember identity or preferences.
• Remote resources and embeds. The Corporate Site requests web fonts and related resources from WordPress.com or other remote content networks. Those providers receive ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent, requested resource, referrer where transmitted, and time. A page containing an embedded video, social post, map, audio player, or similar resource may allow that provider to receive technical information or set its own cookies when the content loads or when you interact with it.
• Future measurement or advertising tools. If DynaKat materially changes its analytics, advertising, personalization, or consent-management technology, we will update this notice and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out mechanism required for that use.

Most browsers let you delete or block cookies. Blocking necessary technology may prevent parts of a service from working. DynaKat does not currently use the legacy “Do Not Track” browser setting as a privacy-choice mechanism for the Corporate Site. Third-party providers may process that signal under their own practices. Where applicable law makes a recognized universal opt-out mechanism, such as Global Privacy Control, legally operative for a particular activity, DynaKat will treat it as a request for the browser or device from which it is sent.

Collection over time and across websites. Yes, third-party services used by the Corporate Site may collect activity over time and across different websites. For example, Automattic provides WordPress.com and Jetpack technology across many websites and may recognize a visitor through a WordPress.com account, cookies, or similar information as described in its notices. DynaKat does not control how an unaffiliated provider combines information collected through its own services. Read Automattic’s Privacy Notice and Jetpack’s cookie information.

4. How we use information

We use personal information when reasonably necessary for the following purposes:

• Provide, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Covered Services.
• Deliver requested pages, site search, accessibility features, and other functionality.
• Respond to messages, privacy requests, press inquiries, security reports, and other communications.
• Evaluate and administer advertising, partnership, creative, publishing, licensing, vendor, employment, investment, or other business relationships, subject to separate terms where appropriate.
• Authenticate authorized users and administer accounts if an account-based feature is introduced.
• Understand aggregate site use, diagnose performance, and plan content or product improvements.
• Protect DynaKat, users, partners, systems, and the public; detect or address fraud, malicious activity, security incidents, rights violations, or misuse.
• Comply with law, lawful process, recordkeeping duties, contracts, and requests from regulators or authorities; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
• Carry out a corporate transaction such as financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We may create aggregated or deidentified information and use it for lawful purposes. We will not attempt to reidentify data that applicable law requires us to maintain as deidentified.

Legal bases for EEA and UK processing

Where European Economic Area or United Kingdom data-protection law applies, our legal basis depends on the context: performance of a contract or steps you request before a contract; compliance with a legal obligation; consent, which you may withdraw prospectively; or legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service, responding to business communications, improving our work, and protecting legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. We will identify a different basis in a supplemental notice when necessary.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose the categories described above to the following categories of recipients, only for appropriate purposes:

• Service providers and processors. Hosting, Automattic/WordPress.com/Jetpack, domain, content-delivery, security, caching, web-font, email, communications, storage, analytics, information-technology, accessibility, and other vendors that support DynaKat. Their processing is governed by applicable agreements, provider terms and privacy notices, and law.
• DynaKat teams and properties. Authorized personnel, contractors, divisions, and DynaKat-owned properties that need the information to respond, coordinate work, operate shared systems, or administer a relationship.
• Business counterparties. A client, publisher, advertiser, production participant, property, platform, or other counterparty when disclosure is necessary for a requested opportunity, directed by you, or governed by an agreement.
• Professional advisers. Attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, financial institutions, and advisers working under duties appropriate to the information.
• Authorities and protective recipients. Courts, regulators, law enforcement, affected parties, or others when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, users, or the public.
• Transaction participants. Potential or actual investors, lenders, buyers, sellers, advisers, or successors in connection with due diligence, financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of a business or asset, subject to lawful confidentiality and use restrictions.
• The public or recipients you choose. Information you intentionally make public, ask us to publish, or direct us to send to another person.

6. Sale, targeted advertising, and significant profiling

As of the date above, DynaKat has not configured the Corporate Site to exchange personal information for money, deliver advertising selected from a person’s activity across unaffiliated services, use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics, or make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. The Corporate Site does disclose technical and activity information to Automattic and remote-resource providers as described above.

Whether a particular disclosure is legally considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” depends on the applicable law and the facts and relationships involved. If a Corporate Site practice is subject to a sale, sharing, targeted-advertising, profiling, sensitive-data, or consent right, DynaKat will provide the notice and choice required for that practice and honor applicable recognized opt-out signals. A disclosure you direct or a lawful transfer in a corporate transaction may be treated differently under applicable law.

7. How long we retain information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for compatible operational, security, legal, accounting, or recordkeeping needs. The period depends on the information and context:

• Server, caching, security, and diagnostic logs are retained according to provider settings, operational needs, and any investigation or preservation requirement.
• According to Automattic’s documentation as of the effective date, Jetpack Stats logs containing identifying visitor data are retained by Automattic for 28 days. Aggregated statistics may remain available for longer.
• Inquiries and relationship records may be kept while a discussion or relationship is active and afterward for follow-up, continuity, dispute prevention, and applicable limitation periods.
• Contracts, invoices, tax, corporate, licensing, and compliance records are kept for the periods required by law and legitimate business-record needs.
• Privacy choices and request records may be retained to honor the choice, prevent fraud, and demonstrate compliance.
• Information in a backup, if maintained, may remain until the backup is overwritten or deleted under the applicable system or provider process, unless preservation is required.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it. A lawful exception may require or permit longer retention.

8. Security and incident response

DynaKat uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards reasonably designed to protect personal information in light of its nature, volume, and the way it is processed. The safeguards applicable to a particular system may include access restrictions, maintained software and hosting, encrypted transport, logging, backups, and security features supplied by a provider. No website, email, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and DynaKat cannot guarantee the security of an unaffiliated provider. You should use care when deciding what to send electronically and should not send passwords or highly sensitive information through ordinary email.

If we identify a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and provide notices to affected individuals, regulators, or others when and as required by applicable law. Nothing in this section limits a statutory security or breach-notification obligation.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

Every visitor

• You may browse the public corporate site without creating an account.
• You may choose not to send optional information. We may be unable to answer or evaluate a request without information reasonably needed for that request.
• You can use browser controls to manage cookies and local storage. You can leave an embedded provider’s content unopened or visit its privacy controls directly.
• If we later send marketing email, each message will provide the legally required way to opt out. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary transactional, security, or legal communications.

Rights under U.S. state privacy laws

Depending on where you live, the nature of our relationship, and whether a particular law applies to DynaKat, you may have rights to confirm processing; know or access categories and specific pieces of personal information; correct inaccuracies; delete certain information; obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or significant profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; withdraw consent; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a right.

To submit a request, email the address in the Contact section with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and identify the right you want to exercise, the Covered Service involved, and the information reasonably needed to locate relevant records. You do not need to create an account. We may ask for additional information to verify identity, authority, residency, or the scope of the request. We will use verification information only for verification, security, fraud prevention, and compliance.

You may use an authorized agent where applicable law permits. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to confirm the instruction directly unless law provides otherwise. A parent or legal guardian may make an appropriate request for a known child. We may deny or limit a request when we cannot reasonably authenticate it or when an exception applies, and we will explain the decision when required.

If we deny a request and your law provides an appeal right, email the same address with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and provide regulator complaint information when required. We do not charge for a reasonable request, but law may allow a reasonable fee or denial for manifestly unfounded, excessive, repetitive, fraudulent, or technically infeasible requests.

California notice

For California residents, the categories collected through the Corporate Site during the preceding twelve months are the identifier/contact, communications, professional/business, relationship/transaction, device/network, and internet-activity information described in this policy. Sources, purposes, and recipient categories are also described above. DynaKat does not offer a financial incentive for personal information through the Corporate Site. If and to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may exercise the applicable rights described above, including use of a recognized opt-out preference signal for a covered sale or sharing practice. The Corporate Site’s present configuration and provider disclosures are described in Sections 3 and 6.

10. International visitors

DynaKat is established in the United States. Information processed through the Covered Services may be stored or handled in the United States and other locations where DynaKat or its service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.

If European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar law applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, receive portability, withdraw consent prospectively, and complain to a supervisory authority. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time. Contact us to exercise a right. A transfer subject to those laws must rely on a lawful transfer basis or safeguard. Any supplemental notice for an intentionally offered service will identify the applicable mechanism and other locally required information.

The Covered Services are not presently directed to residents of the EEA or UK merely because they can be viewed there. A DynaKat service intentionally offered in another jurisdiction may provide a supplemental notice, local representative information, or consent controls if required.

11. Children

The Covered Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 through the corporate site. If you believe a child provided personal information to DynaKat without appropriate authorization, contact us and provide enough information for us to investigate. If we learn that we collected covered child information without required permission, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

A future child-directed publication, mixed-reality experience, interactive feature, or other service must use a separate age-appropriate notice and parental-consent process when required. This general-audience statement does not replace those obligations.

12. Third-party services, social platforms, and links

The Covered Services link to DynaKat properties, social networks, publications, government sources, business partners, and other websites. Clicking a link normally sends the destination basic request information, which may include your IP address and referrer, and the destination’s own terms and privacy notice then apply. DynaKat does not control the privacy or security practices of an unaffiliated service.

When DynaKat maintains a branded account on a social platform, DynaKat may receive the information that the platform makes available about your interaction, while the platform independently processes information under its own policy. Privacy settings and requests directed to the platform must generally be handled through that platform.

13. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy to reflect changes in the Covered Services, vendors, law, or our practices. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date. When required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a materially different practice to information already collected. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Contact DynaKat about privacy
